Introduction
Why in present time there is an inclination towards immorality? To some, the world seems to be ‘improving’ with achievements in Science and Technology, which has in return led to advancement and growth in every field. As we evolve and advance our problems evolve as well and have now become different in nature. However, the question which arises is that, are the wounds of innovation being cured by technology?
The question however rises again, that why there is an inclination towards immorality in today’s youth? This is likely because evil dominates with a controlling factor in our society. Hence morals should be taught as a child in order to be transferred to adulthood. Those morals and values which are now lost and hard to find.
Youth and Immorality
Why are children inclined towards immorality? What is so alluring in it for them? Why don’t they wait for the right time to discover things which are not meant for them at the moment? We have too many whys but no answers. People give explanations and mostly blame the media.
The media portrays an unnatural image to our youth. Girls are portrayed as skinny and scantily clad runway models with bodies hard to achieve, driving young girls to starvation. The fashion industry in return responds to it and designs clothes which are revealing to show off the fine toned body. These designer wear are often pricey and not affordable for a common man. People over here are reserved. The youth have desires but they don’t show it openly. However there are acts of immorality here as well. The major controlling factor over here as well remains the same, MEDIA. The acts of an individual are highly defined by what they observe.
If we talk about our country Pakistan then there are many unmet desires in our youth which causes aggressiveness. At times when this aggressiveness takes over then they involve in immoral acts like rape, theft, etc. Pakistan is one of the countries with the highest illiteracy rate. When people are illiterate they are more likely not open minded and this leads them to fewer possibilities of good jobs and sufficient money. This causes frustration in our youth and there are few open opportunities for counseling. Hence youth may then involve in immoral acts such as smoking, drugs, etc.
