My identity change has led me to be happier, more confident, have a more positive outlook on life, and has decreased my stress and anxiety. First, my identity change has made me happier because I now feel like I am able to be myself. Finding a group of friends that are funny, nice, and welcoming has enabled me to feel like I can be myself. Becoming happier has benefited my life because I no longer feel like I have a brick on my chest and being happier overall raises my quality of life. Next, my identity change has made me more confident because I am proud of who I am and I am able to voice my thoughts confidently without worrying what people think of what I said. Becoming more confident has bettered my life because I no longer spend time worrying about what other people think of me, instead I am able to focus on the positive things in my life. My change in identity has also led me to have a more positive outlook on life. I am no longer looking at the glass half empty, rather I look at the glass half full.
