The attack in San Bernardino was a form of terrorism that left fourteen innocent people dead, and twenty injured (Myers). This attacked lefted many people in awe. According to Myers, the attack was compared to the attack on September eleven. The event is being compared to what happened in September eleven because they both reflect how the events of terrorism began in New York. The events in our society had led to anger, and hatred toward Muslims. Hate crimes have increased immensely after the recent events as mention on The Rise of Hate Search article. The hatred has been present because there were many innocent lives that were lost due to inhumane events. The number of anti-Muslims has increased “According to our model, when all the data is analyze by the F.B.I. there have been more than 200 anti-Muslim attacks in 2015, making it the worst year since 2001” (Perry). As terrorism events continue to grow, the society will view Muslims as “monsters”. As the monster in Frankenstein had good feelings toward a family that did not accept him, he was still viewed as a monster. It is similar to what is happening in today’s world due to citizens believing Muslims are threats even the ones with good intentions. An example mentioned, “In the wake of Terrorist Attack, Hatred Many Mask Fear”, in Wyoming an angry group of shopper’s chases a woman and her children from Wal- Mart, apparently because the woman and children were Muslim (Freyd). Muslim Americans will not be victims of crimes, but they fear for their loved one that might be victims of Muslim hatred. The citizens will not try to be friendly with Muslims because they are angry and fear Muslims. As stated by Freyd, “In New York a young Manhattan couple yelled insults at a Lebanese American who was searching for survivors
