The Importance Of Homework In High School

In the past, I have thought that grades were not essential since there would always be a school there for you next year. I did study, but never tried for the highest possible grade that I could have earned. My study habits were not the best they could have been. For example, when there was an exam coming up I would study only for a tiny amount of period, so I would have open time afterwards for something else. However, my goal, which started in 8th grade, was to join and succeed in the S.T.E.M. program at North County. I started to hammer down and now I am working to be using more of my while for studying to get higher grades. After undertaking the survey and reading all of the tips that previous students stated, the principal challenge that I’m anticipating is the amount and level of homework. In 8th grade, my school did not hand out homework as much as other county schools. Therefore, I commonly did all my homework in class and not much actually at home. However, now after hearing about how much homework we are going to acquire, I am a little frightened of it. I’m having nightmares that I will be absent or forgot to do the homework one night and then get 10 hours of …show more content…
I’m anticipating that I will struggle in note-taking because in past years of instruction, we truthfully didn’t do much note-taking. Maybe it will be a struggle for myself personally to understand the way to write successful notes. Nevertheless, a couple of ideas to help with my note-taking are typing my notes every night and using note cards to write out crucial information. Those note cards can then help as study aids. Through communication and collaboration I hope that my classmates and I will be able to help each other to be successful in the usage of this skill. This problem can be overcome by working with others and comparing notes. This will assure I have the best information that I can
