I was focusing on making a name for myself and developing my clique i would be taking with me on this 3 year odyssey. Freshman year I was not putting as much effort forth that i should have. I was to focus on girls and hanging out with friends ,I feel like this one of the first mistake I made entering high school was that I was to focus on the social aspect and not enough of academic part. I was doing minimal work barely turning in homework on time. I was able to keep my grades high enough to be promoted. Towards the middle of my freshman year I got my first job. I had a full plate going into high school dealing with school, My first job, and trying to hold onto my player ways. Reflecting on freshman year i think it taught me that there 's nothing wrong with being social long as you remember you are in school for academics and not friends. "Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty and persistence" I have had many ups and downs over the course of my life thus far. One specific example of this took place during my freshman year of high school. When I started high school it was very challenging for me, partially due to the fact that; during this time, I was lazy, unmotivated and did not really take school seriously. This by far is one of my biggest regrets to this day. Who would ever think that not trying during my freshman year would continue to follow me throughout the course of my academic career.…

In the Spring of last year, it was my Junior year, one of the most critical years in high school. It’s the year that colleges look at the most, also it was the year that I was in some of the most challenging classes. Mostly honors, a lot of homework, and tests to go along with it. Studying would take me until late at night, and even on weekends, all day long. When it’s the end of the term everyone checks their grades for their report cards, and progress reports.…

Transitioning from middle school to high school was difficult for me because I had to attend a different high school than all my friends. This new environment caused me to become an introvert, because I didn’t feel that I fit in with the other students. The most stressful part of high school was finding a group of people that I clicked with and dealing with the various personalities. However, s my social life decline I became increasingly involved in my academics, so that allowed me to focus on other things. Also, when I meet my best friend during the middle of 9th grade I felt way more comfortable, because I meet someone that understood me.…

Transitioning from a high school student from a small town, to a college campus where the students body is almost as large as my town population is quite terrifying. Im use to my 1,500 classmates, all of us attempting to squeeze down the same stairway, trying to find the time to do Art Club, student council, band (marching and concert), Mathletes, quizbowl, keeping up with homework, and working is a difficult process. It’s senior year now, and half of these activities will be long gone as I trudge along applying to college and keeping my GPA to my standards.. We don’t have mommy and daddy to help us through our problems, holding our hands through the dark. Our decisions we make from here on out are all on us.…

I already worked my butt off to make the team and show my potential and it paid off, but then my coach decided to leave for personal reasons. This was very controversial because a lot of us felt upset with our coach, but we also realized we need him more than we thought we did, especially all sixteen of us girls going into our senior year of high school. So always in the back of my mind was the thought of if I should play soccer my last year of high school, or just not play a sport and even considered trying out lacrosse but that seemed way too of a crazy idea. It got the point where I cried to my mother one time asking…

High school helped me prepare for college in the sense that I partly know how to write essays, I can pull off all nighters with no problems, and I’m accustomed to large amounts of work. I heard college students do things such as set fourteen minute alarms for naps because fifteen minutes is too long, and if this is true then I’m already ahead of the game. Although, my professor is going to fail me if I so much as turn in an assignment late, and I think that’s where high school gave me too much…
