Diseases can affect a pregnancy by transforming the birthing process into a horrible experience. Foraging the elements fear and shame. Some cultures would consider a deformed or diseased newborn shameful to the family. So, the mother would abandon her child for the pride of the family. Fear of the unknown has filter through every cultures since the dawn of time. What we cannot comprehend drives us to tragic things to our relatives or the people around us. Helminths is a parasitic worm, which when mature can be seen with the naked eye. Pregnant younger are the ones to most likely be affected by helminths. The types of helminths are tapeworms (cestodes), roundworms (nematodes) and hookworm. These worms can only survive in certain types of weather
