Personal Narrative: You Are What You Eat

I eat a lot of high protein foods. My fridge stays full of healthy foods like chicken breast, eggs, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, turkey breast, tuna, salmon, tilapia, mixed nuts, green peas, tofu, black beans, artichokes, peanut butter, and soy beans. Healthy food encourages me to live a healthy life, If you don 't eat healthy, you don 't live healthy. Not to put down anyone that doesn 't eat eat the same, it 's just the way I view it. Knowing the saying “you are what you eat” implies that you are whatever you put in your body. I choose to eat what I eat because I 'm afraid of being fat and having problems with my body. It make me uncounterable because I was overweight before and I never liked it. I hated the way people looked at me and I hated the way I looked at myself so I chose to eat better and it worked better than anything else. You have to be strong and confident that you can stop and mean it. It took me 3 years for me to actually stop for good, I was so caught up in what tasted good that I didn 't see myself putting on more pounds and my health going to waste. To stop I had to strictly change what I ate. I started to eat more salads and fruits plus, I had to go to the gym and workout almost everyday. It took a lot of sweat and tears for me to loose all that weight but I had to do it, I had to prove everyone wrong. In the midst of me doing that, I learned a lot about myself. I learned that you can really do whatever you put your mind to and it 's not just a saying. I changed my ways and eating habits for the sake of my health. The saying “you are what you eat” ultimately means if you eat healthy, you are healthy and if you don’t eat healthy you aren’t. You cannot live a healthy life with a healthy body consuming fast food, junk food, soul food, and any other food that isn’t healthy food. Take into consideration “You Are What You Eat” and “How Does What You Eat Affect
