Growing up I always heard my mom talking about how we are apart of poor class family. People would assume that we had a lot of money because my mom was a registered nurse but in reality my mom worked two jobs just make sure we had everything. Race really don’t affected me in no way, the reason I say that because I get along with anybody. I don’t judge people based on the color of they skin, however this lady once told me and my cousins that she would never let her son date a black women because we don’t make enough money and that we are lazy. In the back of my head I felt like she was labeling us African American women and that she was judge before getting to know us. I do feel like the reason most minorities cant get a job because of they skin color and they feel like we don’t have education to do the job. That’s why from last year when I started filling out job application I don’t put my race because I want my boss to get know me based on my qualification and not my skin
