I had never known that cutting my hair in a rowdy crowd could lead to an unforgettable shame. One day in November, at school in the cafeteria, some of my friends and I were all together, and we had decided to give each other haircuts. I thought it would be fun, so I had joined the crowd. After seeing one of them getting a new hairline, my first instinct had told me that it was a good idea to get one too. Once I made that decision I did not know I would soon regret it. It is because someone had pushed the hand of the person cutting my hair, so he had ended up cutting off most of it. I needed a new hairline since my current one was like a horror story. I thought it would be a funny idea to get a hairline in the middle of the cafeteria and I thought that doing something this stupid would probably boost my popularity...well if it turned out good.
In the black community, having a fresh hairline is really important. If your hairline is not straight, then you would get roasted, which means people would make fun of you. My hairline before the incident is the perfect example of what they would make fun of.
Just like anyone else, I don’t look good with a messed up hairline. Before the incident, my hairline looked like a rollercoaster. It was so bad, that I wished someone else had it so I could make fun of them, cause I had a LOT of things to say about it. So in other words, I desperately needed a change. Unfortunately, my rollercoaster hairline got renovated and turned into an even steeper rollercoaster.
Although I needed a new hairline, becoming a clown in front of a crowd was the last thing I wanted. I would have honestly kept my old roller coaster like hairline if I knew this was about to
