Innocence Lost Looking at this Parent Map ad, instantly gives off the vibe of seriousness and helplessness. The boy named James is holding a gun, and his face is focused with light so the audience’s eyes are drawn to his sad expressions which will sway them feeling sorry for the children. The writing on the ad indicates every thirty minutes a child dies or is injured from a gun. The print on the ad is a good visual that gets right to the point. When looking at the ad you see the light hitting the little boy’s face, and how he has a sad expression. This is helping the audience realize that not just adults have guns, but kids are finding guns in their homes and not knowing what could happen when it goes off. The little kid looks very sad while holding the gun which some people could argue that it is staged, but in reality he might have shot another little kid by finding it in his home. Some people who argue for gun control state many violent crimes involve guns. Others believe a child finds the gun and something bad could happen to the child or others when the gun is unsafely stored. The majority of all teens and child guns death happen in a home. Some of the things are bold and larger print, but others are just normal size. Whenever the print is larger and bolder the meaning of the text really grabs your attention. In the ad it says “If he’s coming to play with Jack, I have to Just ASK, and do you have a weapon in your home?” has a meaning that comes out by the text being larger and bolder. So many kids have died from finding their parent’s gun. “50 a day, 351 a week, and 18,270 a year die from a gun” with this being written on the picture it sends a serious message to help and protect these children. All of these children are dying because guns are loaded and not stored properly. Innocent lives are lost helplessly because they don’t know any
