After reading the article, I saw that it is mentioned many times that most mass shooting the shooter was able to get his gun legally. With that being said I think the US government should reconsider the law that allows any person over the age of 21 and clean recorders to make a gun purchase. In my opinion clean records don’t “say” too much about a person, are what they intend to do with the gun they will buy. Murica doesn’t need Gun control Gun Control is a very hot topic these days. Some people think that having more gun laws in America would lessen the number of murders in America, however I think that having more strict gun control laws would do nothing to stop criminals from getting guns or killing people. Criminals will always find a way to get weapons. To prove this, handguns in the UK have been banned since 1998 and the murders have actually rose in numbers. For this reason I think gun control laws would not stop criminals from getting guns…

While I do not believe that gun control laws will entirely eliminate the misuse of guns, I believe gun control is a necessary element when implemented correctly. I agree strongly with President Obama that it is “a political choice that we make to allow this to happen every few months in america” because there are multiple law we could put in place and things we could do but while that is being fought because of the diversity of beliefs in America it is the society that we have created here that has harvested this unforgivable behavior. I agree only slightly with Atticus’s take about not “shooting unless he had to” because While shooting is not something to be treated lightly I believe that recreational shooting sports, when in accordance to…

In place of guns, the terrorists use knives, semi-trucks, and homemade bombs full of nails, the terrorists that hijacked the planes during 9/11 used box cutters. No guns were involved! Those who support gun bans are notorious for praising the UK as a country who succeeded in banning guns. The country should have no crime, yet it has the second highest crime rate in the EU.…

This proves that people in the United States need to go into a more mental health checkup before they can go out and purchase a weapon. Others say that they do not need to go under investigation before purchasing a weapon because they know how to own and operate their weapon in a responsible manner. Another way to help with the gun violence in America is to " insist on mandatory training and licensing along with safe-and secure gun storage" ("Gun Violence").This is saying that people have to have training and a licensing before they can own a weapon. The people will have to have a safety training and licensing before owning a weapon. The cities can also take a stand by "supporting city wide planning…

I have experienced the effects of suicide within my own family. One month ago, my cousin Marisa committed suicide. She was 26 years old and had been diagnosed with schizophrenia a few years prior to the tragic incident.…
