I handed over all the medical appointment cards for follow-up, to my brother Patrick Alan Fonseca. My sisters and I later discovered that my brother Patrick Allan Fonseca had not taken my mother for any of the follow up medical or dental appointments that I had made.

My sister Rita Frei, though overseas, immediately set out to correct the problem. She found a qualified nurse, Mrs. Sarah Chelliah to act as my mother’s caregiver with whom she still lives with.
Rita Frei then went to Singapore in October 2013 to organize and make sure that our mother would be properly taken care off. With my mother’s approval, her flat was rented which therefore provided my mother with her own income to pay for all her needs. It was Rita’s foresight and determination that has allowed my mother to live in a happy home with all her personal and medical needs taken care of.
For almost four years Rita Frei and Pamela Melvin, although living abroad, have been meticulous in their care of our mother.
