I've been in the same house all my life and I couldn't imagine it being any different. My favorite memories are from when I was little and my grandpa, on my dads side we call him dats, lived three houses down the block from us. He used to babysit my siblings and I. In front of his house he had a huge sweet gum tree that had a swing hanging from the tallest branch. I was attached to that swing, I remember it like it was yesterday, the only downside was the sweet gum balls that used to fall from the tree. America is divided by light and dark, when I believe it should never be divided at all. Being Irish and Italian today I don't face any discrimination like there was in the past, I really don't experience any at all. My hope is that history stops repeating itself and everyone in America can be viewed as equals but it seems like a reoccuring sense of ignorance that poisons our great country. Whether it's race, sex, or nationality american citizens always find something and discriminate. I thank my relatives from making the brave move to america in hopes for a better life and being let down or discouraged due to the discrimination. I thank them because if it wasn't for that I would never be able to live the life I do today, and I will forever be grateful for that and their
