Nathan Shirk Character Analysis

When this assignment was given to me, l thought about the people l surround myself with, l wanted to meticulously pick who l generally had a good character because my perspective of a good character might be different from someone else. Most of the people l interact with have neutral characters so that lowered my possibilities of picking someone l collaborate with , l thought about perhaps one of my teacher or someone that l once encountered in my past. I came to my decision to pick my health teacher Nathan Shirk., l would not say l have known him for a long time because l have only started taking his class last semester. As l first entered his class l thought he would bore me with lessons about how exercising is so important and how healthy we have to be, do not get me wrong being healthy is good for your organism. As time passed by l discovered that his class was not only about health and nutrition but it was also about teaching us important life lessons and obstacles and how to get through them ,l also discovered that Mr. shirk was an educated ,optimistic , dedicated ,benevolent, healthy and courageous man . When individuals make decision, they only about themselves and how it will benefit them however Nathan shirk is an optimistic man being a teacher in a high school of predominantly African American, it is hard for anyone to adapt to their culture and their way of doing things. He tries to understand every student and understanding why they do things the way they do it and he would never push them to the point where they can’t be themselves. He makes us think positively about life and is hopeful about every student in his class no matter their social status or behavior. We can’t solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create
