These women were considered the “rule breakers” because they didn’t dress like “lady.” The cut their hair short, wore short dresses, and were the complete opposite of what they were expected to be. Flappers stood up for what they wanted to accomplish and it didn’t matter to them what people had said. They all had steady jobs. But after working all day, at night they would go out to clubs and just party, they weren’t what anybody considered a normal working woman. Today, we have phones and we can just talk to each other on social media, we don’t do anything face to face. There are so many new ways to be able to talk to a person today, nobody has to worry about facing the person and the fear of looking disappointed if you get rejected. Social has definitely made a big impact on how girls feel about telling guys their feelings for them, it gives them a little more confidence because they most likely wouldn’t tell a guy how they feel if they were in person.
