Frontline leaders are the people who are not afraid of getting their feet wet or their hands dirty on a regular basis. Frontline leaders can be found working together with their followers and team members in order to ensure tasks are being completed and goals are being met. Frontline leaders are focused on the activities that are required in order to meet the goals set by senior leaders. When developing frontline leaders, one must to take into consideration their distinctive responsibilities and roles in order to not put the program at risk of failing due to the fact that the followers are being driven by the wrong focus and resulting in other outcomes (Doherty & Wells, 1997). By developing concepts, a future leader will understand what it takes to be a leader and not so much a manager. These future leaders will also have the ability to understand what their role is as a leader and how they plan on achieving this leadership role and being the best at it as well.
