From the beginning and middle of the book to the end, we can see that Peeta and Katniss’ relationship drastically changes for the better and how Gale and Katniss’ relationship changes for the worst. For example, when Katniss asks where Gale is, Greasy Sae responds with, “District Two…” (p. 384) Katniss says she digs around herself trying to register anger, hatred, longing. She then says she only finds relief. This leads me to thinks that since both parted ways, that they forgot about each other. Another example would be when Katniss describes, “Peeta and I grow back together.” This leads me to think that she and Peeta fixed their relationship and made it through hard time which goes to the simple theme of sometimes when two people's relationship get broken, the two people will part ways and forget about each other while stronger relationships make it through hard
