In the book, Romeo and Juliet Friar Lawrence played a major role to the importance leading up to Romeo and Juliet's deaths as well as the deaths of Tybalt, Paris, and Mercutio. His whole journey through the play was to guide and help Romeo if he needed to talk to someone at any time or have a place to stay. When Romeo first fell in love with Rosaline nobody really knew a lot about her. Juliet was first spotted at the Capulet's party when Romeo saw her dancing. From then on they fell in love but ran into some troubles because the Montagues and the Capulets shall not be together after the two families feuds years ago. Friar still isn’t sure about Romeo’s new love for Juliet, but still, gives Romeo the ok to marry Juliet and which they got married by Friar himself. Romeo stops by The Friar’s place to plan the wedding and make sure nobody finds out. Everything went downhill from here, Juliet gets punished and yelled at by her mother, father, even the nurse for not liking Paris. Friar gives Juliet a sleeping potion to fake her death and still be with Romeo and not have to marry Paris after she agrees to with her father. Said. After faking Juliet's death Mercutio and Tybalt got in a fight and Tybalt and Romeo fight, then Romeo and Paris fight at Juliet's tomb. Juliet was like the nurse's daughter because Lady Capulet gave her the responsibility to raise her since she was born. She had kept a secret from everyone except the Friar, Romeo and Juliet had gotten married and she helped Juliet get married and pick out her dress. If father Capulet didn’t have the nurse go check on Juliet, Juliet would have laid there waiting for Romeo in which the friar’s plan would've worked, but the nurse called Lady Capulet to come in and her family freaked out and arranged a funeral instead of Paris wedding.
