For the national security, the government has the responsibility to ensure the state secret never leak absolutely in order to protect nations from the attack by other countries or terrorists. And make sure the published information is true to avoid misdirection. These are the primary reasons why the press should be control. State secrets involve the national security, economy and the political interest. Generally these were controlled by the senior government officials. The government’s policies or actions will probably be influenced if the state secrets were pressed. In America, Associated Press ever reported the anti-terrorism combat secret in Yemen on May 7th,2012. This event obviously affects the national security and hinders the government departments’ action. Moreover, public depend on the information which were released by the media.
