Freedom is the ability that a person has to think, speak, act, and follow the pursuit of happiness given to that person by the government without restrictions placed upon that person from the said government. Although freedom is one of the utmost important morals of the world, an abounding number of people are unable to comprehend its meaningfulness, especially those who have lived their entire lives in freedom and take for granted the privileges they were blessed with. People who have spent all of their lives with the ability to choose and think for themselves do not understand the value of freedom compared to those who have suffered from hardships and were not granted any rights in society. Although freedom should allow the complete populace to act as they please, some restrictions have to be set by the government to prevent chaos and ensure that other people’s freedom and rights are not being deprived of them while another does what he or she believes is right. However, there is a narrowly thin line between restrictions set to work for a better understanding of freedom and restrictions set that lead to a corrupt and controlling government.
