Nietzsche is feels as though we will truly be free once the need to pin responsibility to one’s action is forgotten. This is Nietzsche’s view of true free will and there might just be some who agree and share his doctrine. However we all have our own lives, views, thoughts, and beliefs and because we have free will we are able to decide what views and belief best fits us as individuals. If we did not have free will then we are told what is best for us and we are doomed to live a life that does not fit all. We should have the right to choose our own path. However Nietzsche is right that free will was created for punishment. Free will allows us to make our own decision and accepts that our choices have effects, and if we accept our punishment for the bad choices we will learn to make better choices
