The area of career interest I have identified most closely with is psychology. I am considering this field because I really love the idea of helping people better themselves. I have watch television shows such as law and order and criminal minds, and although these are fictional pt. shows they are in essence the duties that might have to be performed in the field of forensic psychology and embodies the prestige that it involves. I am a very diligent worker and try very hard at everything that I do. Despite the things that I physically do I am very educated; I tend to catch on quick, and have a wonderful personality. Based on the information I have obtained collectively doing my career assignments was that to be a forensic psychology there is a vast amount of school involved which ultimately means more money for tuition and classes. In order to become a forensic psychologist it is considered a specialized form of psychology meaning every university does not offer a set of classes for that course; however, one class for the entire subject may be available at a university. Also, in order to be specialized in this particular field of psychology one must have at least a Ph.D. In the specialized field. I think there may be prejudices and values that are incorrect wen referring to forensic psychology. For example since forensic psychology is a male dominated field it maybe a prejudice that women do not belong in the field or that t may be harder for them to get into the field. The field of psychology and social work is predominantly ran by women; however man women do not go ono the specialized fields. Also when dealing with criminals and court cases and judgements it is often thought that women would be biased and lead with their feelings and intuition and not much logic, but I don’t believe that would be a problem for a female trying to profile or put away a serial murderer. M next two years will be dedicated to getting my bachelor’s degree and I plan on continuing my education until I will be able to obtain my PH. D. I believe this will be the best fit for me because in order to even further proceed to be a forensic psychology I have to have at least my master’s degree which consists of another two years, and my last year would be the first half of getting my doctorate. I really am fascinated with people and their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. School is not only necessary for me to become a forensic psychologist but t allows me to be prepared in every scenario that I can be because dealing with criminals can be dangerous, and in such a field I need to know what to be aware of as far as potential danger or something of that nature. In this situation school will be preparing me for all the things that cannot be easily picked up by someone or
