The valuable experience in the food industry would enable the food writer to write in various areas. For instance, writing cookbooks of a variety of recipes from modern to traditional cooking, including kitchen aid, food and health. Therefore, food writer is a person who tries to enlighten people‟s life in a way, a celebrity that entertains, an educator, a motivator, and an all rounder, from a chef; he or she can become an author, a food consultant, a believer who has many followers. Nevertheless, there is no special education or experience necessary but it is not an easy task either.

Basically, food writing in the Malaysian perspective has gained popularity. Thanks to the proliferation of dining establishments all over the country. It also helps Malaysian to have an innate fondness for food and attracts homemakers who are always hunting for tested recipes as well as foodservice professionals who want to stay afloat in what‟s going on in the

Food writing belongs to non-fiction because this type of writing takes into accounts facts, accuracy and the truth. Nonfiction is writings that aim to deal factually with the world, with people and places, events and ideas. Whether its purpose is informative, analytical, persuasive or expressive, nonfiction addresses human experiences directly. It attempts to shed the light upon the actual world rather than to create an imaginary one. Even though the style of writing is freer than news but nonfiction writings like food writing are considered a serious writing for it tells readers recipes and important points on areas relating to food like nutrients as well as health that need facts and figures.

So, food writing is writing that is factual from the beginning to the end. This style of writing includes the ABC formula and is crucial because it gives important information to readers as well as audience about food and matters relating to food. Therefore always take note that food writing is an area which helps readers to learn not only how to cook but also enhancing readers various knowledge from food making to food serving as well as diet and

What is meant here is readers believe in what the writer writes, and with that endorsement, they would go on reading what that particular writer wrote. As for in food writing, when a recipe for example is written accurately and when people follow the recipe and do it, then the chef who wrote it has the credibility.
