The current economic state as well as world market conditions have necessitated food industries to find a way to increase competitiveness through better production procedures, enhancing product quality and reducing the costs of production. To be specific on the food industry, other factors have been brought under consideration, the prerequisite to product the health of consumers and well as the requisite to ensure food safety. Hence, the existence of a body or system that guarantees food security is vital in safeguarding the image of a company as well as its reputation. It also helps in increasing global and domestic market shares.
