In fact, this saying packs a lot of truth in 5 simple words. Our bodies regenerate cells as time passes by. The essential building blocks that are necessary for creating these cells come from the food that we eat. Gluten is generally a term that refers to the proteins found in wheat endosperm. This wheat endosperm is a type of tissue that is produced in seeds in order to make flour. It affects the elasticity of the dough, which in turn is responsible for the structure of baked wheat products.
So why is Gluten bad?
Gluten isn’t really bad. But it may cause an allergy that comes from the body’s inability to digest or break down the gluten protein found in wheat, rye, barley or any food that is made with these grains.
