Monday to Fridays, my day begins with a lite breakfast that longs no more than 15 minutes. On the other hand, during weekends I prefer to rest in the morning than to wake up early to take a breakfast. That’s why on weekends I pass over the first meal of the day. During Monday to Fridays, after my breakfast, I usually take a snack at work. This is basically composed of some carbohydrates and sugar based aliments. My third meal is a lunch which lasts one hour; thirty minutes to consume it and other 30 minutes to do any other activity different than working. The volume of the last meal of the day depends on if I am still full or not from my previous meal. This last meal should probably take twenty minutes to be consumed and it is which I more enjoy. I try to not repeat the same menu, but what this should always have are proteins and carbohydrates. My food choices are greatly influenced by the Cuban culture, and what I have learned from my parents. Even though I know it is important to eat fruits and vegetables, my food preferences depend on what it is easy to me to prepare and what I mostly like. To me rice, beans, and protein cannot be out of my plate. However, sugar based foods and saturated foods are not part of my daily choices.
