Food Matters advocates for at least 51% of your food should be fruits and vegetables and that the majority of them should be uncooked. Food Matters also indicated that the public should be educated on super foods, nutrient rich foods and alternatives to the standard meat and potato or processed food diet. Food Matters did recount a few stories of people with health ailments that did turn to vitamins and supplements, had excellent personal results, however many of them later stopped the supplements based on advice from their physician as there is no scientific evidence of the effects of these supplements, leading to a relapse in their poor health.
