Daily, everyone is faced with a tough situation. It can be work, family life, or even figuring out how to start a paper. Tough situations are a part of life and they can change how someone looks or deals with things. These situations can make or break someone. For example, if that person makes a wrong decision at work, he or she is now in a tight spot where they are wondering if a different route was taken, would the situation be better or worse? The same thing occurs in family life and writing a paper, the situation is based off the decision that was made …show more content…
He wanted me to come over to the office right away. I quickly changed, wondering what the emergency was. I walked into Fred’s office. The coffee was going. Charlie (Personal Manager) was there. Rich Grillo (V.P. Operations) was sitting on the far side of Fred’s conference table. The problem now was that Dinah had called Partco and gotten through to their new vice president, Tim Rand.
Though we weather the storm, we had certain losses. We were never to be the sole source of Parco again. We still retained sixty percent, but had to agree to lower prices. The price reduction had a severe impact. Lowering prices meant incurring losses; not lowering them meant losing customers. The next two financial quarters saw a sales revenue decline by forty percent.
With regards to Dinah, I now faced a monumental problem. The internal feeling was that she should be avoided at all costs. Because of price erosions, we faced cutbacks. Employees blamed her for production layoffs. The internal friction kept mounting (Schermerhorn, 2014, p …show more content…
Perception enables us to understand, and as a result respond to the information. The reaction after perception differs from individual to individual. In this case, the main characters Pat and Dinah receive confidential information about the defective heads sold to Partco. Through the scheme, the two individuals could develop knowledge of the situation. Perception is crucial as it enables individuals to respond to the stimuli depending on the way they perceive them.
