In the following paragraphs I will tell the story of when I began to follow God. I then will tell about where he has brought me today and how he has grown me over the years. Lastly I will explain how I feel I am a good match for Southeastern University in the academic field as well as a spiritual aspect. So let’s begin with the beginning. My mother and father had split when I was in the 6th grade and ever since it has been a terrible relationship for them. My father was in my life but was only in it at times when we had something to enjoy together or he needed my help, he was not there for me all the time as a father should. I’ve always strived to be the best I could be, along with having the best for myself and for others. This is why I choose to go to Southeastern University. Educationally I have always been a top of the class student; I graduated high school fifth in my class and in college classes I was a top student. In college my priorities were not on school so my grades were not the best they could be, but I have a fire in me to obtain a top tier education. The basic facts that I have given in my general application are only the facts that have been written down and kept record of. They don’t tell you who I am as a person, nor do they tell you if I would be a good candidate for your school. Hopefully, in this personal testimony of mine, I would like to explain some of the reasons why you should consider me as a student that is right for your school. I would first like to start off saying that your school is at the top of my list, as well as many others. I know that I am a perfect candidate for FIT as I have learned many great things in high school and at the community college I attend that will benefit me on my journey as I go to transfer to a four year University of my choice.…

It's normal over here to start learning different languages at an early age. In elementary school you get the basics, which are Dutch and English. And in the first two or three years of High school (it depends on your level) you get the basics, and in addition to that you get: German, French, and sometimes Spanish or Latin. When I was younger they would only subtitle cartoons, so you either learned how to read fast, or learn English.…

The Love of God God is the creator of all life and he is the highest of all powers, he embodies all ‘persons’ (The Father, The Son, and The Spirit). Although we cannot be as him, we should try to follow his guidance. In this world, it is easy to get wrapped in earthly things. We are humans, and many of times we fail by trying to hold a certain status, gain certain materialistic possessions, and cause great emotional/physical harm to one another. In my beliefs, that is not the way one should live.…

With no mention of what had occurred to the church leaders and organizers, my father and I went to bed that night and spoke for several hours about what we had seen.
