The Importance Of Fantasy Football

One week ago, I went to a friend’s house to play pool and cards. Four of my friends and I met at my friend’s house around seven o’clock and ordered pizza and wings from Pizza Hut. While we waited for the wings and pizza, we watched Thursday Night Football and a baseball game that was very important. The baseball game was between the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals. I am a Cincinnati Reds fan, so I really didn’t care who won the game, but two of my friends are St. Louis fans. I was more interested in the football game. The Denver Broncos were playing the Kansas City Chiefs. This game was important for me because the Denver Broncos wide receiver is on my fantasy football team. What is fantasy football? My Favorite Football Game On Sunday December 15, 2013, I watched my favorite football team, the Miami Dolphins, play against one of the best teams in football, the New England Patriots in what would turn out as my favorite football game. In preparation for the game, I decided to purchase Miami Dolphins gear to cheer on my favorite team. Finally, when the time arrived for the start of the game, I watched intently, forgetting about the jersey and hat I had bought. Throughout the game, both teams played impressively.…

During that very special baseball game I was beasting at shortstop. Every time a ball was hit my way I would either catch it or scoop it up off the ground depending on what type of hit it was but if the ball came my way my fans already knew what was going to happen. My fans already knew that I was going to get the batter out or get a double play and most of the time I did. It felt so great knowing that I helped my team achieve excellence and earn victories. My team had a very strong and unstoppable defense and if it wasn't for our teamwork, we wouldn't have had such a successful season.…

One night in the Spring of 2013, I was playing little league baseball in Pinetops, NC. The game was close and it was against our archrivals, the Yankees. My team, the Red Sox, were the best team in the league, and we were determined that we weren’t going to lose to our rivals in one of the biggest games of the year. It was a tied ball game, and one of the players on the Yankees named Levi came up to bat. Levi was a tall, strong, extremely cocky, but I will say, he is a really good baseball player.…

In a recent town hall meeting in Jacksonville, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in regards to a possible playoff expansion "It likely will happen at some point, but we want to be really cautious because we really like the balance we have with the importance of the regular season and the postseason and you don't want to mess with that balance. You have to be really careful and cautious." (Via Jaguars.com) I for one am not a proponent of playoff expansion in the NFL. The old phrase “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it” perfectly exemplifies why the NFL shouldn’t expand beyond 12 teams.…

We were leaving the house and, of course, running behind. I forgot to pack my gear, didn’t wake up in time to eat breakfast, and was tired. When my family had finally gotten into the car it was an hour after we had originally planned to leave. After about an hour and a half of driving, we stopped at McDonalds for lunch and then again at a gas station so that we could all use the restroom. The original plan was to go check in at the hotel before going to the game, but that just was not possible anymore.…

It was such a happy day. Every Sunday for me is happy. Even the one’s without football. The team that had Davonte Freeman on it was the Falcons, and they were facing my least favorite team besides the Bears: the Cowboys. Even though I hate the Cowboys, 3 minutes into the game, I was regretting my decision of Freeman because Joseph Randle, the Cowboys back, was putting up big numbers.…

Our daily wiffle ball game was about to start. There was a wiffle ball game every evening behind the apartment complex I lived in. The game was played in a luscious green grass field with a monstrous hill in left field. The usual squad was myself, Ricky, Justin, Michael, Jonathon, Latrell, and occasionally Greg but his parents usually make him stay inside and play monopoly or some other dumb board game. Our teams were always different from the last game.…

It was October 16, 2012. I was in seventh grade, just a boy to become someone or something. We were loading the bus with our two coaches, Coach Voss and Coach Larh. Coach Voss the offensive coach who liked to make us run, and coach larh, our Defensive coach who taught me everything I known about the defensive side of the ball. This was a big game for me and my fellow teammates this game was going to set the tone for the rest of the season to show that we can be successful.…

On Monday, my boyfriend had a flag football game. In my opinion he is one of the best guys on his flag football team, because he played football most if this life. We arrived a little late to his game, because we had a test in our Sexual Health class. The team was not doing that well before we got there and they were happy when they saw Jaylan came. Their opponent team did not seem all that good, but Jaylan’s team was just a little jumpy about the game.…
