The principle of treating others how they would want to be treated should be in the forefront of every persons’ mind when faced with ethical dilemmas (Exploring business, 2014, p.12). During a neighborhood get together, one of Angela’s neighbor, Carol, thanked her for steering her nephew, Jaden, to his currently position as an accountant at WellCare USA. It was a great opportunity for him after just recently graduating from college, and given the current state of the job market. Carol also shared Jaden 's and his wife’s intention to purchase their first house, which is ideally close to his work. As a Human Resource Department worker, Angela was privy to a recent cost-savings decision made by leadership within WellCare USA to move the accounting operations to Chicago. The move will not be announced for several more weeks. Angela knows from experience that due to Jaden’s lack of seniority and status within the company, he will not be chosen to stay or be part of the move.
