Identifying the target clientele is essential in creating a plan of action, setting team goals and creating policies. Because client satisfaction and welfare is the main focus of the group I should not only pay attention to the physical set-up of the facility but most importantly the organizational structure as well. I have to be creative and innovative as well by thinking of strategies to attract more clientele. Since there are possible existing counterparts, I have to think of something that will set the facility apart from just a typical rehabilitation centre. West’s five essential parts of team effectiveness. The first on is task effectiveness which pertains to the team’s success in achieving its task-related objectives. Secondly, I will also assess the team members’ well-being such as the well-being or mental health (i.e., Stress), growth and development of team members. Third is the team viability which is the probability that a team will continue to work and function effectively. Then, the degree to which the team develops and implements new and improved processes, products and procedures which is termed team innovation. And lastly, the inter-team cooperation which is the effectiveness of the team in working with other teams in the organization with which it has to work in order to deliver products or services (West, 2012). An effective team for me is the one that achieves its goals and adheres to the standard sense of quantity, quality and timeliness of the work result; where the team members believe that their participation and experience are important and everyone is satisfied to continue working

Although healthcare organizations often indicate that it is a simple request to have healthcare professionals such as family physicians, midwives, obstetricians and nurses, work together, it cannot be assumed that these professionals have been prepared with the competencies (knowledge, skills and judgement) to collaborate and the necessary attributes to effectively work together (Pfaff, Baxter, Jack & Ploeg, 2014). The identification of healthcare providers who will work effectively in an interprofessional healthcare team prior to the team being assembled is an essential component towards the achievement of high-functioning teams in the future. From a health systems sustainability perspective, interprofessional teams working with low-risk obstetrical populations and other populations, may help to reduce delays and eliminate duplication thus, having a potential reduction in healthcare costs (Tomblin Murphy, Alder, Birch, Tomblin & Purkis, 2009; Tomblin Murphy, Alder, MacKenzie & Rigby, 2010).
