How Does Evil Exist

It is hard to imagine a world where evil did not exist. It seems to be that evil is always part of our daily activities, whether it be big or small. I always knew that evil was part of life but I never really understood the reasoning behind it. Till this day suffering and evil was never something that I questioned or wondered why it existed in a world that was created by God himself. I always found myself questioning the existents of God when things were going bad. I would questions his ability and the power he held. For example when I found myself praying and asking for guidance it seemed to be that I never got a straightforward answer or that my prayers were not answered. It is because of our actions. We cannot expect God to save us when things go bad or expect to be able to be free and be able to do things without dealing with the consequences. That is something that I have realized. We as humans expect so much. We cannot pick and chose what we want from God and then go and blame him for not fixing our problems. It is up to us as a society to fix what we created. Humans are not perfect and we all make mistakes. Individuals are bond to do bad things and there is nothing that we can do about it. Just like in Buddhism’s I believe that evil exist because people are driven by temptations. It is up to us to decide whether there be evil or no evil. The only thing that I do not agree with is that it is totally up to us because I do believe that God is part of life. Yes we have the choice to let it happen but if we try to stop evil we are following the path that God has laid out for us. As Aristotle once said, “We become just by doing just acts, prudent by doing prudent acts, brave by doing brave acts” (Why God allows evil, 13).Our actions help us determine our future. Evil is always going to be around because no two people agree no the same thing. That being said it is impossible to get everyone in the world to think the same and believe in one belief. One might be the best Christian there can be and they might suffer sometime in their life, they might question why they are suffering if all they have done is try being the best they can be. For one I believe that they suffer because one must remember that we are all in this together. God created us to have responsibility not just for us but for each other so suffering is bond to happen to everyone. That is something that I see as just part of life.
