Although I am the one in charge, I would want my workers to see that I am always involved in decisions and that I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty. Helping the people in the marketing area is just as important as assisting the custodians and concession workers. By having these workers see you getting involved, you will gain their respect and motivate them to work hard to achieve their own goals. Being a good manager means you are more than just organized, but you are well versed in all aspects of your event planning, and you work well with other people. Once you are organized, you get everyone on board with your decision, and then you are able to encourage everyone to make it happen. The total planning of the event takes months while the actual event is only a few hours or a weekend.
