The use of misleading words can affect an individual negatively because they think whatever is being said to them is true when in reality it is all lies or a hidden truth. This gives individuals a false sense of security and overconfidence which may mettle with their minds and cause them to make terrible actions. The equivocating words reassured Macbeth that he would stay King which negatively influenced his thoughts and actions by making him carefree and not take action to defend himself during the battle. His over confidence and belief in the witches prophecy had him killed. ith this in mind he became negligent and did not worry about others harming him. When the battle came, Macbeth did not take proper precautions and did not flee from the fight, instead he stood there thinking he was invincible. Ironically his enemies took the branches from Birnam Wood as disguise and marched to dunsinane hill , then Macbeth realized that he was tricked.
