I didn’t use my standard methods I put into effect for every other test I took in high school. I wasn’t used to preparing for a test that was so far away, so I had to adapt by familiarizing myself with a new system of learning because simply memorizing information wasn’t going to work this time. The main way I would study was taking practice tests or old AP World History tests. This really helped me become familiar with the way the questions and answers were set up, and it allowed me to have a better understanding of how the test worked in general. The AP World History test has a specific format, so by studying it over and over, I was not only learning the information presented in the questions, but I was also preparing for the specific structure of the questions themselves. Aside from taking practice tests, I found that the key to studying was repetition. I would constantly be reviewing all of my notes and rereading the textbook, trying to impress the information into my memory. Studying all year for one test is as dreadful as it sounds. I would constantly be making simple outlines of the history of the world, adding in only some specific detail. Eventually, I began to get annoyed by the redundancy of the information I was studying, but I knew it was the best way to commit the it to
