A Personal Experience Of Being A Kid

Improved Essays
When I was seven years old I was a kid with lots of energy. With that energy I would play outside around my house and inside my house. Being a kid I really did not look at danger like I do currently. I would just play without a care in the world. I would go climb trees in the backyard, play hide and seek with my sister, visit my cousins house across the street, run around the house and play with my toys. One day my mom was cleaning around the house and she accidentally let a glass cup fall on the ground. As she went to go to get the broom I was running to the living room to see what had fell. When I was running to the living room I had not notice the broken glass cup on the floor.Sure enough danger was near and I cut myself that left a two …show more content…
I would look at my scar and ask my mom what if my scar opened up. Because when I was a child I thought that the stitches that doctors put went inside and they just cut the top part off. So to me the stitches were still there underneath my skin. Being 18 now I ask my mom and dad about the accident and I find out they had to remove a piece of bone to able to close my wound. This experience wasn’t fun but it did taught me to watch were I step. I remember that I would were my sandals everywhere I went. If it was dark I would not walk into that room. I got a bit of a fear but it went away with time and a good talk with my dad. It was fortunate that I had parents there looking out for me and love me I know my little sister was there but I think she stayed my aunt while we were in the hospital because I don 't not remember her being there. Weirdly enough she would cut her foot too in 5 years after mine. Not as bad as mine but bad enough that she needed stitches and I believe she cried a whole lot more than I ever did. The scar has faded a lot actually but still remains and I only really notice it when I look at my foot real good but its good to have memories like this because it can make a really good story to tell one day maybe good enough to write about

I would have to sacrifice countless hours of free time, hanging out with friends, and sleep in order to work. I relate to Schoonover because like her on the weekends, I would go to the lake with my friends and out to lunch with them. Also, since I acquired the job, I would need to start paying for necessities and extracurricular activities on my own.…
