How education is addressed

How education is being addressed in current day america isn't the best apposed to Finland and the U.k and many more. U.S education is 32 in global education while finland is 6th.

Education in America is not as effective as it should be. In global education raking us is 32nd and finland is 6th out of sixty countries.
Many people think that the government should put more money into education and research on how to make it better. Education should be more accessible especially college and high school. I think there should be more scholarship opportunity so we can have more students graduating and then they could make the system even better. and then system better and better. Until it keeps on growing.

Even though America has sixty times the population of Finland and no ideas from ‘The Finland Phenomenon’ are original, one can still believe that some of the proposed ideas can be a possibility within America. In ‘The Finland Phenomenon’ they say Finnish politicians understand the school system and the importance of education, here in America this clearly is not the case as we have many American politicians whom don’t even seem to care about their education system and want to lower the education budget even more than it already is. On another note, students…

Our education system, however, is a glaring mark against us. While education reform is a hot topic debate, the right solution never seems to be reached. In “What Americans Keep Ignoring about Finland’s School Success” Anu Partanen evaluates why Finland overshadows almost every other country, including the United States of America, in education.…

In her essay, “Finland’s School Success: What Americans Keep Ignoring,” Anu Partanen brings up the familiar topic of education reform (Partanen 976). Citing the PISA survey, put out by the OECD, Partanen makes the observation that the United States is not top on the list, but rather Finland (976). As a result, the United States invited the director of the Finnish Ministry of Education’s Center of International Mobility, Pasi Sahlberg to come and speak at Dwight School in New York City. Partanen uses the talk to draw comparisons and distinctions between Finn and American teaching philosophies. Partanen feels that most people missed many points in Sahlberg’s Dwight talk, one being the fact that Finland has no private schools (980).…
