Today the world seems to be throw many challenges at eeryone. Have you had one of those days where you felt like staying in bed and not facing the world, because I have. However, the next day everything is back to normal. I know someone who has those days all the time although, the next day it doesn’t go away. My cousin Evelynn was born four and half months early where she developed this disability called Cerebral palsy. She’s now 12 and she can’t do the “normal” 12 year old things like walk, feed herself, dress herself, etc; She relies on everyone to help her. Now when I have one of my bad days, I just take it with a grain a salt and realize they’re people out there who really have no choice. This breaks my heart. However, her determination and compassion has encourage me enough to become that person to make a difference in her life.

I volunteer my time before school during my late arrival two days a week, where I sit with Evey, and her Occupational Therapist to observe not only the daily job of an Occupational Therapist but also the frustration that comes from Evey.
