'The Importance Of Education In Franny's'

Like Franny, her brother Zooey feels hopeless about his immorality and of people around him. Zooey is intelligent and spiritually enlightened also due to his formative religious education from his brothers. He is critical of everyone including himself and members of his family because the narcissism he sees in people: "I'm tired as hell of getting up furious in the morning and going to bed furious at night ... I sit in judgment on every poor, ulcerous bastard I know. Which in itself doesn't bothers me too much. In addition, he states that the worst he does to people is: "I make everybody feel that he just wants to get work done that will be thought good by everyone he knows - the critics, the sponsors, the public, even his children teachers. Zooey feels guilty for undermining people's morale, although unlike Franny he doesn't blame the educational institutions for contributing to his immoral behaviors, but he blames his brothers Seymour and Buddy for his immorality due to the spiritual education they impacted
