The Importance Of Education And Technology In Education

Over the course of years, technology has made a huge change. Technology is more than cell phones and computers. Webster dictionary, (2015) states, “technology is the collection of techniques, methods or processes used in the production of goods or services or in the accomplishment of objectives, such as scientific investigation” (pg.1). Even though technology impacts our life it causes problems within our education system. Before I get into technology and its relationship with education, I wanted to touch bases on technology’s purpose. Technology allows people to instantly communicate with anybody in the world. Even though technology was created for that purpose, some people still fail to communicate properly. Max Kanat-Alexander, the author of “The Purpose of Technology”, (2015) stated, “It took many poor communicators and gave them a massive platform on which they could spread hatred and fear” (pg.1). Technology closes the learning gap. Before technology advanced into what it is today, everything was done by hand. Admin, (2014) author of “Difference between Technology of Education and Technology in Education” stated that, “Technology of education is also referred to as educational technology and is in reality incorporation of IT into the realm of classroom” (pg.1). They also stated that, “Technology in education is not limited to making use of technology to make learning and imparting of education easier in all possible ways but also a field of study in itself for those who are involved with developing technological tools for educational purposes” (pg.1). The idea that there is a possibility that technology could save education could be true but it may not be a good idea to base education all around
