Some even say that student debt may soon become America’s next major economic crisis (Oxford Analytica Daily Brief Service 1). It is estimated that the average student loan debt on the United States is around 26,000 dollars and student debt as a whole adds up to approximately 1.3 trillion dollars. Too many people are perpetually stuck in debt and too little is done to aid these former students. University costs are on the rise to this day, while scholarships and financial aid grow more and more limited and exclusive. In the matter of college education and student debt, there is no true “good side” to be on. Those who do not attend college are unlikely to meet the credentials of any well-paying employer, and those who do attend will, almost without fail, graduate with a growing debt that will only make starting a responsible adult like even more treacherous. Knowledge of this previously foreign concept is spreading amongst the public, and people are finally discussing the concept of free education. It has even become a reoccurring topic in public politics. For obvious reasons, the idea of a free college education has become popular with young adults, especially those in school. Seeing as college students have been a swing vote in the last two presidential elections, government funded education has been a reoccurring topic of debate in the current battle for presidency (Edvisors Releases White Paper... 1). While it has only seen marginal support now, eventually U.S. citizens will eventually come to realize the ever growing cloud of accumulated debts and be forced to react accordingly. Implication may be tricky and execution will without a doubt be flawed, but hopefully the citizens and government can work together to establish government funded education and bring about an inclusive unpaid school system, and a brighter future for the youth of
