“They wanted to know about more important things, such as camels. How many did we own back home? What did we feed them? Was it a bumpy ride?”(Dumas,90). This quote from “ With a Little Help From My Friends from Funny in Farsi” inquires more than it says. There is more meaning to this quote than just camels, it has to do with Dumas’s trip to America. “ How many did we own back home?”(Dumas,90), this can also be interpreted as, how many family members are still at home?
