You are the first voice they hear in the morning and I’m always cheerful and suggestive selling! However, OT carries much more work than that, for example; you must brew each batch of empty coffee, stock cups, fill sugar, fill creamer, and fill ice if your maker runs out of them. Another duty I enjoy is drive thru cashier because it’s one on one with each customer for under two minutes. I like the excitement of keeping the time in the green (under 1.60 min) because most people count money slow and keep time in the red (over 2.00 min.) However, this task becomes tedious from standing in one spot for eight hours and occasionally getting a disrespectful customer. I started in 2012 as a crew member like everyone else. I disliked this position because it wasn’t enough money and I wasn’t respected. However, through hard work and dedication I climbed the latter to crew captain. Now able to train new employees and making sure crew members are doing their tasks their shifts. Now, I am a shift leader who can now deal with money situations, making .75 cents more, and able to write up a crew member for negative actions. Promotion is based on speed, accuracy, and tidiness in my store. For example, my manager notices how fast I can count money fast, make sandwiches speedy, and make coffees with the quickness. While making all the products fast I still attempt to make them all the correct ways and not sloppy. Also, I’m the tidiest worker by always having a clean station, tied up hair, and gloves over my polish nails. On the other hand, there are some negative skills I have also though. I have little patience, low leadership, and take poorly to
