Some ways to promote recruitment diversity into nursing are listed below.
• Inspect the population of the hospital. Integrate the staff culture with the patient culture.
• Complete structured and group interviews to promote validity and reduce subjectivity during the recruitment process. (Marquis & Huston, 2015, p. 340-341).
• Show that nursing is a profession for all people. Give nursing stories of different ages, genders, and nationalities and show positive experiences for different types of people to be inspired that they can be nurses if they want. Show diverse workforces and patient outcomes. Find research showing the positively of a diverse workforce and its impact on health disparities.
• Eliminating the nursing shortage by increasing faculty numbers, clinical sits, classroom space, clinical preceptors, and eliminating budget restraints. By eliminating these factors more than 70,000 people will be able to enter nursing school. This will create nursing diversity and increased staffing which will help hospitals and health care centers recruit more diverse staff when these students become nurses. (Marquis & Huston, 2015, p.
