I believe every student has potential academically and socially. I understand that Kansas City Public Schools can be a more diverse area than other schools. I believe that diversity enriches life and the students can teach me as I am also teaching them. There will be different learning needs for every student to meet in the classroom. Students should feel valued by their own unique and inherent worth. I have been provided with opportunities at the University of Missouri to be well equipped to provide a way for students to embrace diversity, make their learning relevant, and about ways to learn about my students' interests to help them have a comfortable environment in the classroom.
