Dialectic Influence On Education

Dialectic is the ability to understand the truth. It is also the act of never giving up until the end goal of grasping the good with understanding is accomplished. Dialectic is therefore the journey that the soul must go on in order to find the true form of the good. Dialectic is the traveling of the soul from looking at the shadows of statues to breaking the chains and bonds and turning oneself around and making the ascent to finding the true form of the good. Dialectic does not use hypotheses to find this answer, rather it uses the other forms of education that help lead the soul to find the truth itself and know the difference between the good and the bad. The education of dialectic forces a person to find the truth out for themselves. This forces a person to distinguish between ignorance, opinion, and knowledge and decipher which is good. Becoming dialectic is learned through numbers and calculation, geometry, astronomy, and harmonics. It is the turning around of the soul to find the true form of the good and no longer being ignorant. Dialectic education is different than the education that is received at the moment. The education right now is not worried about teaching students what is good and what is bad. It is only worried about giving students information without knowing if it is good or bad. This is not how education should be because it does not allow for a student to distinguish what is good and what is bad. When the student does not learn this, they will not know the difference, for example, in whether killing someone with harmful gases or curing their cancer is good or bad. Education needs to be more than just learning about the subject. It must also deal with deciding whether something is good or if it is
