According to Peak (2016), criminal justice employees have a lot of opportunities to become involved with sexual affairs, incidents, trysts, etc. Sexual misconduct has been defined as anything as simple as casual flirting on the job to romantic involvement with foreign agents. Discipline has been given out as police managers maintain high standards of officer behavior. Officers may be disciplined for their inappropriate actions, including both adultery and homosexuality, (p. 63). Inappropriate conduct with other employees or with perpetrators, citizens is included in sexual misconduct and incidents. The employees having hook-ups with the probationers were terminated and they violated the sexual misconduct terms of their probation officer services …show more content…

This style is consideration oriented and seeks mutual respect from those they work with. The style’s involved when there 's not a concrete course of action and problems tend to be unstructured and it taps into the decisions of subordinates. In emergency or crisis democratic leadership requires a highly structured response, (Peak, 2016, 37). I am a democratic leader because I love to work with people and I am friendly and establish friendships or acquaintances in the process thereof. I manage a lot of the work and still have the chance to get to know my coworkers, employees, volunteers, and others in the business. I would be a democratic leader towards for my coworkers and the probationers because I would be more than just a leader and connect to them on a deeper level. Communication is very important to me and I would make sure everyone communicated in some form even if they were shy. Expectancy theory holds that employees will do what managers want when these facts are held true: task appears possible, reward offered is seen as an employee’s desire or to liking, belief that completing requiring behavior will lead to desired outcome.
