Persuasive Speech On Death Is Wrong

Our lives used to be so simple, so utterly peaceful…until the day we started believing in nonsense that has torn our once harmonious town of Christianly people into hunters. Hunters of the people, people who you call your neighbors, because of the hear-say claim that some of us side with the devil. These are irrefutable claims imposed upon numerous innocent townspeople. This is a lot of power in the hands of young women who have been taught right from wrong. Right; tell the truth no matter the consequences nor the shame you may bring upon yourself. Wrong; allow lies to flow across your lips, those same lips that sing your favorite biblical song do. Death is inevitable; that doesn’t allow us the justification to give our religious beliefs the opportunity to choose the time of death for those around us who challenge our thoughts. We are constantly encouraged to believe in something; a religion, a god, a set of morals. When people and events challenge our whole belief system we allow our fears and insecurities to shine. Insecurity is a nasty feeling, it causes us to lash out at those who cause us to feel as we do. We knock each other down as if it’s our goal in life to see who is capable of hurting whom more. In a way this is what the girls of Salem have been going through the last few weeks. Being caught in acts abnormal to the social expectancy of a women caused their minds or rather the one mind of the strongest women of the bunch to assume the position of defense. A defense to keep them from the discrimination of the men of our town. Dancing, especially at night without the company of a man was frowned upon. Women tended to have it rougher in society than men, they cannot own property nor take part in adultery outside of marriage without being “slut”
