For an example when Kate questions Ann about her love for Larry and not believing that he is still alive and Ann says to Kate “I loved him. You know I loved Him. Would have I looked at anyone else if I wasn’t sure? That’s enough for you.”.(64) This shows how Ann has accepted the loss of Larry and wants Kate to understand as well. For another example Chris and Kate find out that Joe is the reason why Larry killed himself. They get into a fight, then Joe walks in to the house and Kate and Chris hear a gunshot from inside the house and Chris says to Kate “mother I didn’t mean to…”,(69) This shows guilt for Joe killing his son and Chris for leading Joe to his death but mostly this shows loss. When the loss of Larry affected so many of them and all of the emotions were shown but it comes back to the feeling of losing a loved one. This play shows how loss and acceptance affects everyone who suffering from the death of a loved
